James on Electricity

Opposition leader Edison James suggested the new Electricity Act may even lead to an increase in rates rather than offering the hope of cheaper electricity. He cited the new regulatory body, which will need funding.

Fight back

Charles Savarin, Foreign Affairs Minister, urged farmers to fight back against foreign competition in the area of the banana industry. He was speaking at a seminar, and referred to the latest threat to the region’s banana industry from Central America.
