For the past few days I have been receiving emails ask about the results from the different shows and street jump-up. So I thought it would be a great idea to write a post about the Carnival results. Some of the street jump-up results still have to be announced by the Carnival organizers. Everyone is still waiting to heard which song will be crowned road match. The Carnival committee organizers have announced some of the Carnival Monday and Tuesday street-up results.

Parade and Street Jump-up

  • Band of the Year – Carnival Corner ‘Echoes of El Dorado�?,
  • 2nd place – Go Girls “Caribollywood�?
  • 3rd place – Mercury “Mas Destruction�?
  • 1st Lapo Cabwit on the road – Newtown Lapo Cabwit

2007 Calypso Results

  • Calypso Monarch 2007 – Hunter “Typical Dominican�?
  • 2nd Place – Singing Sandy –
  • 3rd Place – Daddy Chess “ Crabs�?

National Queen Pageant Results

  • National Queen Pageant Winner – Leandra Lander “ Miss Malcolm Stephen & Sons
  • 2nd Place – Sonillia Laville “Miss Dlca Air & Sea port Authority
  • 3rd Place – Narrissa Browne “Miss H.H.V Whitchurch�?

Tents Winners

  • Stardom Tent Winner – Tarina”Life Line”
  • Champ of the Camp – Son of the Saint “Gallon Bottle”

In other results Hunter won the 2007 Soca Monarch competition, Tamika Hurtault won the Carnival Princess show, and the Duchess was crowned the Junior Monarch. Keep visiting dominicaweeky.com; I will continue to update the result as they are announced
