Like most of the Caribbean Islands, Dominica is observing the 200th anniversary of the passing of legislation in the British parliament to abolish the slave trade. It was this month 200 years ago that our ancestors was freed from slavery. Many of us forget the many people who gave-up the lives in the fight, hoping that one day the Slavery with be abolish. Today we’re willing testament of what our ancestor fought for equal rights and humanity, were a man is not judge by the color of his skin nor there is no race which is great than another.

Too many of us these pictures mean nothing, for most of us it reminds us were we’ve been as a people. We are mere generations of Slaves living in a so call politically correct world.

This is the biggest bush fire I have ever seen. I guess it’s because of all the hot summer-like days we’re having over the past few days. The picture makes it look worse than it really is. No one was hurt in the fire, after an hour the fire department had the fire under control. But I must say the picture looks Mystic. 🙂

Ever wonder what a Dominica Island Sunday is like? Well, guess this is your chance. Sunday is usually my rest day. But I couldn’t help noticing how beautiful the sky looked today. What a great day to go to the beach. It’s definitely better than just seating here at Luida’s Laptop Computer. And you what, I’m feeling abit adventurous. My bet is the beach is even better. 😎 Enjoy the pictures
