The third day of Creole in the Park was surprisingly nice, despite the heavy rain which carried slightly into the latter part of the evening. Unlike day one and day two – day three for us was probably the most laid back, partly because it was raining most of the afternoon. As far as bands we covered on day three, I’ve to admit we missed a couple acts we wanted to see due to the rain, so we decided to take it easy and just casually walk the grounds to see if there anything interesting going on.

Day three started with performance by the cultural group karifuna, Point Michel Cultural Group, Phase 5 Steel band, Free Joseph, and Nature Vibes -one of the upcoming Reggae bands in Dominica.
Next on the main stage was Soca artist ‘Ricky T’, who is taking the Caribbean by storm with his soca hit song ‘Pressure Bloom’. No rain was going to defer Dominicans from seeing Ricky T perform.

The seventh act on the main stage was ever-hot, ever-exciting TripleKay International, who despite the rain rocked the massive crowd with hits from their new album Colours and their growing catalogue of hits.

Day three was brought to an end by the Kings of Cadence Midnight Groovers, who captivated crowd with many hits from the pass. The large numbers of returning Dominicans were particularly fun of the Midnight Groovers, seeing that it was Cadence music they grew up listening too.

Stay turned to find out what happen on the final day of this years Creole in the Park.
