Dennison “Dice” Joseph, the tri-peat Calypso King, has learned his lesson well. In 2007 he failed to become the only person in the history of Dominica to win the calypso crown four successive times because he made serious flaws in his on-stage presentation. In a recently interview with The Sun Newspaper “Dice” told the Newspaper:

I made my mistake already. It’s their turn because I go through that already. The fear now is for the other that never experienced it before. I did not lose the crown. Something happen. It’s an understanding I had to get. It’s not that I did what I had to do and somebody beat me. I made my mistake

The great thing about Dice, despite his mistake in the 2007 calypso finals, his mission was to represent the youth in calypso, which was fulfilled in 2007 when many young person took part in the competition. Once again veteran calypso writer Pat Aaron has produced another masterpiece for Dice for the 2008 Dominica Carnival calypso season called “Roll De Diced”. Come on! take a chance Roll de Dice and see.
