Dominica Carnival Monday Celebration 2007

Enjoy De Real Mas 2007 everyone! Carnival Monday is here, people are lining up on the sidewalks of Roseau and around Dominica to view the traditional Carnival Monday parade. An overcast sky made it the right atmosphere for un-watchers, parade participants and the many Dominicans who returned home this year to join in action.

It’s been a few years since I lasted watch a Carnival Monday Parade, usually I’m too tried from jumping jouvert or if not I’m working on the morning of the parade. This year I am able to post some of highlight photos… hope you enjoy!

This is my first carnival here and I had to be working . So I missed all the parades on the road. It s wonderful to see your pictures.

Philina….. Soon I will write a post reviewing all the 2007 Carnival winners….as for who won the road-march, its not announce yet….

this years carnival was great!!…the carnival queen winner and the junior calypso monarche and the princess show winners deserved their crowns …..but i won’t get into the topic of the Calypso monarch and the teenage pageant winners!!!……..our carnival was simply the best!!!!
