Ramblings From The Nature Paradise of Dominica


It started with flotilla of canoes depicting the first inhabitants of Dominica, leaving the southern tip of Dominica and traveling to the Roseau Cruise Berth arriving just before 5am on January 1st, 2008. This was just one of the many cultural activities to mark the Dominica’s 30th anniversary of independence and to signal the start of Reunion Wivé - Dominica Reunion 2008, on the Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard in the Capital city of Roseau.

The official ceremony ended just after 6:30am, but the boulevard remained alive with music and fun right throughout New Years Day; which brings to mind a sense of nostalgia and great sense of pride among all Dominicans.
