Dominica’s cruise sector in the last two weeks had three cruise ships making inaugural their call to its shores. The MV Delphin Voyager which originates out of Germany, Legend of the Seas – which is apart of Royal Caribbean cruise line, and the Norwegian Gem of the Norwegian Cruise line.
MV Delphin Voyager

With a length of 174 meters, a width of 24 meters and passenger capacity of 650, the MV Delphin Voyager docked for the first time at the Roseau Bayfront Cruise Ship Berth on January 3rd, 2008. The MV Delphin Voyager is a medium-sized cruise liner which was built in 1990 in Japan as the “orient Venusâ€.
Legend of the Seas

The MV Legend of the Seas of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line made its inaugural call at the Woodbridge Bay Port in Roseau on Tuesday January 8th, 2008. The passenger capacity of the Legend of the Seas is 867-meter is 2076.
Norwegian Gem

Norwegian Gem of Norwegian Cruise Line, made its inaugural call at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth on Saturday January 12th. When it comes to Freestyle Cruising, something new is definitely a good thing. The ship is practically brand new, equipped with all the restaurants, the bars and lounges, plus the complete disregard for watches and alarm clocks. All the things you love about NCL.

Wow, three great cruise ships in two weeks! It shows that Dominica Caribbean is one of the top destinations for cruise trip.
its god to have 3 ships in one day but what about the other days? we all know how didastrous cruise tourism can be, just look at the barks of some trees on the way to the pool. Are we not promoting DA as an ecotourism destination? It is possible to see a large part of DA in one day but we need a few days to experience it.
