Finally I got tried of staying home every Sunday and decided to head down to the Anchorage Hotel with Luida to have a few drinks. The Anchorage Hotel your home away from home, there are a 32 room tropical paradise situated 7 minutes from the Roseau The anchorage Hotel is ideal for the business traveler as well the vacationer.
While I was at the Anchorage Hotel I noticed something cool. Well it’s cool to me anyway. I saw lots of the crew members who are presently shooting the CBS reality ShowSurvivor. So there it is; I have seen it will my own eyes. Survivor is in Dominica.
This reminded me so much of when Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Man’s Chest was being filmed. The movie which became an American Blockbuster starring Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, and Johnny Depp and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
So if you’re a looking for a quiet place on a Sunday to have a drink cocktail while watching the sunset. I recommend you visited the Anchorage Hotel.
The whale-watching from there is nice too. We did it a number of years ago. Funny thing: At first there were no whales to be seen, so to pass the time, I took my harmonica out and began playing. Whales appeared very shortly. When I stopped, they dove. So, I began to play again, and the sperm whales reappeared almost at once. I can only theorize that they heard the harmonica and either were curious or actually appreciated my talent — but probably the former.
I remember hangin’ at the Anchorage as a young man– watching the sail boats, snorkeling in the waters nearby and sneaking a drink or two at the bar was in the mid seventies— would love to come back and feast my eyes on the blue waters and awesome sunsets again —- ooohhhh someday!!!!
Dominica 2 (Bradt Travel Guide) second edition offers practical information on the growing health and wellness holidays, weddings and yachting parties as well as extended coverage of the rich cultural heritage. There is also a new chapter on the highly popular Waitukubuli National Trail.
