Today I had this strange déjà vu –you know the kind where you tell yourself “I’ve heard or seen this before.†While riding the bus, and I overheard this conversion between a group of people seating at the back of the bus. They were talking about Barack Obama, and how he came from nothing to being one of the most highly respected men in the world.
Traits they believe are already prophesied in the bible – where a Child will venture forth – for the first time – to bring the light unto the entire world.
Not taking any heed to the conversion which I just overheard, a few hours later I came across this article on the internet entitled: Barack Obama, the second coming of Christ.

In one day I was lucky enough to accidentally come across this same topic – or maybe it wasn’t an accident. You can call me crazy if you want – but I do believe that Obama was sent by god to save mankind from himself. “Yes We Can.”

This nonsense was on the Web last week as parody.
It is extremely dangerous to mix politics with religion. Religion takes it upon itself to be unquestioned and unquestionable. Think!! Would you want your political leader to be above any questions, a law unto himself?
Besides that, how would you view it if some other nation had a person leading it who claimed to be god according to their religion?
I strongly doubt Obama is Second Coming of Christ. This pronounced glorification of the man, that seems to manifest itself really beats me- it started from the time he announced his desire to run for U.S. President and it has infiltrated sooo many countries…
I mean SERIOUSLY…call me bitter…but don’t blame me for living in a world where politicians continue to LIE and DISAPPOINT their people. From Chavez to Bush to Mugabe going back all the way to Hitler, Stalin, Napoleon- From Nicaragua to Cambodia to the Sudan. Haven’t politicians Historically done more Bad for their people than good? Few men…like Gandhi, Mandela and Simon Bolivar have made some milestones. But in my opinion, these changes were made more through social means than political means.
To me voting is just like rolling a dice…you can never tell what you’re going to get. If we looked for leaders instead of miracle workers we would be less vulnerable to shock and disappointment from politicians.
Yes, some politicians do learn from their mistakes. But often when its just a bit too late. And history has proven that these lessons come with age. Because true wisdom comes with age and experience. My point is that I think the world is expecting just a little bit too much from Barack Obama. We want him to solve the energy crisis, the economics problems, the global conflicts based on religious incompatibilities and blind hatred. So we idolize him…and we forget the lessons that history has taught us.
We’ve forgotten that History repeats itself. Why? Because the world is a cycle.

I think we should start thinking together, as a global community for the solutions to our problems. Because its OUR world. NOT the politicians’ world. When we start making them feel like its THEIR world, we feed them power, power, power. Then when they become villains, we call them powerhungry warmongers, villains, dictators.
I have nothing against Barack Obama. I certainly feel he’s the better candidate when put against both Hilary Clinton and Mc Cain. But I refuse to expect any supernatural and divine work from a Man. He’s not going to end the the energy crisis, the economics problems, or the global conflicts based on religious incompatibilities and blind hatred.
And the sooner some of us start realizing that, the easier it will be for us to understand WHY he hasn’t done these things when he doesn’t. But perhaps we’ll just sit waiting for another Human Messiah-like politician to fool us AGAIN.

But let me ask you this just for discussion sake – didn’t the messiah (Jesus) returned as has ordinary man? And did he stop all the wars and hatred happening throughout the world? No!

BTW Dani – do you believe in the return of the Messiah, and if you do – whats your perception of the messiah? 🙂
oh..and one more thing (actually dealing with the immediate issue at hand)…it’s highly unlikely that any Son of God would have a political agenda. He (or she) would automatically be a cause for division instead of a reason for unity.
and all the men who were ‘sent by God to save mankind from himself’ had spiritual , philosophical OR religious agendas- like Haile Selassie, MLK Jr., Malcolm X, Christ , Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius- the issue is whether or not you feel they all believed in the same ‘God’.

Dani, you have written exactly what I would have. I am not a believer, but if I were, I would certainly not think that a messiah cared at all for politics or other worldly matters. I think that the bible depicts Jesus that way: “render unto Caesar…”.
Jesus gave us the keys to create Heaven on Earth:
The Bible tells us: The Kingdom of God is within you, Christ is in you and the Holy Spirit lives in you.
Christ’s Second Coming to establish Heaven on Earth is therefore being realized when we allow Him to appear through us. The Second Coming of Christ is taking place right now inside of people who purify their thoughts and emotions to allow Christ to enter their hearts and minds. Thus Christ is coming into our world.
Barack Obama is an instrument in the Second Coming of Christ and .
I am afraid you need to study the Bible a bit more, you have to compare a scripture with scripture; Jesus’ second coming is not to establish Heaven on Earth, because the Bible says that earth and everything in it shall be burned and Christian will live in new heavens and new earth ( But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 10 to 13)
As far as the key you mentioned, The Lord Jeus has the key and when we proclaim liberty of God’s salvation plan to man kind we use His key as children (by adoption) of God as it is said “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 12 and 13.
So it is God’s authority and we as his children practice this authority.
As far as Obama being the return of Christ or an instrument in His coming is crazy in its worst meaning possible. When Jesus came as a human, He took on a human form to bail out man kind from their sins, He had to be human to die for a human, He was born from a virgin because sin is inherited from the father as the Lord God mentioned it to Adam in the book of Genesis (Cursed is the ground because of you) so Jesus had to be born from a virgin so he would not be contaminated with sin, so He is a perfect human born to die for sinful human, that is why Jesus didn’t get married for he doesn’t have the lust of man kind, just like Adam who did not have union with Eve until after they sinned. but the bible says His second coming will be in glory with His angels. Jesus is God himself and not a man.
I come from a muslim background from Egypt to be specific, and I can tell you from my experience in debating with muslim people that Obama is a muslim man, the way he mocked the Bible ignorantly, and the sermon of the Mount, I heard these words before exactly as he said them word by word from muslim scholars, so he is a sounding trumpet to muslims undercover I assume.
Islam is an anti-Christ religion, read the Koran and Hadith and you will understand. The Bible mention very bad things about Islam and Mohamed in the Old and New testement, the Bible which is the word of God is not ignorant about islam which came hundreds of years after its completion, but that is a different story.
I hate to leave without leaving you at least one of many proofs: Jesus is speaking about the evil of the coming days of Islam.

The only instrument the Lord wants is a person that accepts Him and who will not depend on a mere man to save them. Your Bible and seeking His knowledge is His instrument, His Word is all you should depend on, and not the hope that lies with man. When The Lord comes back IN HIS GLORIFIED HOLY BODY with His sword in hand ready to take what is His. He will not come back involving Himself in the works of man, He will be coming back to rid the WHOLE world of everything perverse, wicked, self-worshipping, and unjust, that is the (evil within) of those who do those works by way of being influenced by the evil spirits that were casted down for judgement. He is coming back to take claim on what Adam and Eve lost in the Garden.

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD not a mere man. Maybe you should read the Holy Bible and look at Daniel and The Book of Revelation. The WHOLE WORLD will see the coming of the Lord and it won’t be something you will need your Digital T.V. to see, whenever you do see a person claiming to be Jesus or Jesus like on t.v. you will be looking at the anti-christ and his false miracles. The Lord is the one who made ALL things and He is far greater than any thought or deed of a man. After all The Lord made the matter that made the chair you sit in while you are on your computer, the air you breathe everyday, He made the Sun and the Moon and the Stars, the food you eat, and brain in your head. Please for you own sake seek some REAL knowledge before its too late. The Lord will come back so fast that you will blink and then realize that you are in one place (Good) or the other (Bad) on judgement day and when He judges accordingly you should want to end up in His Good place and not in the lake of fire, which by the way, the place is as real as the eyes that you read this with. I feel for those that choose to take this as a joke, why take a chance, you should want to learn The Lord, if you don’t seek Him and His knowledge now you will definitely end up in eternal misery, forever.

If I were you, I would not quote from these so called sacred texts. These are not from God; Thomas gospel, Mary Magdalene gospel, Barnabas gospel. . . . . . etc. all of these writings are dangerous, they mix lies to poison the truths for their source is not the Holy Spirit.
The real word of God did warn about them.

God knows His book, when it was completed, He gathered them and put them in one book as we have it today in the Holy Bible. The word Bible comes from the greek word Biblos or books.
Isaiah 34:16
Search from the book of the LORD, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.
There are so many errors in these so called gospels, but I will mention one major error. These gospels will give you hints that Jesus had a relation with Mary Magdalen which of course was imposible, for the fact that Jesus did not have the sex attraction between man and woman like a regular man,
this is a byproduct of sin when Adam sinned, for Adam did not know it until his fall and later he knew his wife. The fact that Jesus was born from a virgin even confirms this, because God told Adam in the book of Genesis “cursed is the ground because of you” which means that we inherit sin from the father not the mother, so Jesus had to be born from a virgin with no man involved to have no sin in Him, another words a human with no knowledge of sin to die for a sinful human. If we say Jesus married Mary Magdalene, then he had sexual attraction which is the byproduct of sin, in turn Jesus had sin in Him, in turn there would be no reason for the virgin birth in the first place and the salvation plan is flawed.
Other errors like Jesus showed partialities and fabrications to die are also unacceptable of course.
Barack Obama IS God’s son that was sent to help us. They may call us crazy now, but they’ll see.

Like everybody else I say no He can’t be the second coming,but when I experience the way he comunicates with us and the world I get overwhelmed with a God like presence,a feeling of salvation.So hey,what is wrong with a little bit of hope in a time like this?
You have got to be kidding me, the second coming? Are you serious? These must be the same people that believe in global warming. Whoever thinks he is the second coming of christ is F****d in the head. If anything he is the ANTICHRIST, thats right.
