Travel News
Beginning January 23rd 2007 air travelers entering the United States will be asked to show the passport including US nationals returning home from the popular travel hot spots e.g., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The days where a driver’s license or birth certificate were considered acceptable ID are long gone.
Truth is, you can still travel to and from all of the above mention…. Maybe I mad!!!.. don’t be so quick to write -me off yet, because the new rule doesn’t apply to border crossing by land or sea(for now, at least – if I’m wrong please let me know), which means you can still drive to Mexico, Cruise around the Caribbean or ride the train to Canada. And, there are still a lot of places in other US territories (Eg. Puerto Rico and the U.S.V.I) where no passport is no problem.
