Dominica Taxi Drivers have been taking their concerns to Tourism Minister Ivor
Nassief, claiming that they should be given the opportunity to handle the
dispatch tour system

Should the Government allow the Taxi Drivers to handle the dispatch tour Systems?…. Please post you comments

Attorney at law, William Para Riviere is criticizing proposals to hand over
the dispatch tour system to the Dominica Port Authority Last week Dominican taxi drivers began protesting proposals for the Dominica Port Authority to take over the private tour dispatch system. That system has been controlled by the National Development Corporation -NDC.

Taxi drivers gathered outside the NDC Friday, where tourism minister Ivor
Nassief, general manager of the Dominica Port Authority Beniot Bardouille
and the executive of the Dominica Taxi Association, were discussing the
matter.

Mr. Riviere says this is another attack by government against the earning
power of the working people of Dominica.
