Geo-thermal is the ‘way to go’

Dominica Freedom Party leader Michael Astaphan said a geo-thermal power plant is a better investment for Dominica than an oil refinery. The plant will be able to provide cheaper, cleaner electricity with no fuel surcharge.

Canefield and Roseau Valleys Road Projects

A major project to upgrade roads in the Roseau Valley is at the Tender stage, according to Minister for Public Works Ambrose George. The Bath Estate-St Aroment road is one of the roads to be upgraded, along with Laudat/Trafalgar roads.

The Minister also mentioned that the Government were finalising further funding for the improvements to the Canefield - Melville Hall road, which might start work from the end of March.

Investment Fund Contributes to Education

The Dominica Social Investment Fund has put money into education to the tune of $25,000 by contributing to the Education Trust Fund.
