The launching of a National schools Curriculum for Dominica has been described as a major achievement for the country. The schools curriculum is expected to guide the processes of education at both the primary and secondary level.

At the ceremony to officially launch the programme, Education, minister Vince Henderson(minedu@cwdom.dm) said the process has just begun, he also said the national curriculum sets out the framework for development for the country. Meantime Chief Education officer Steve Hyacinth believes the National schools curriculum will change the education landscape in Dominica.

What happens to all the children who entered secondary school and can’t read, is there a new curriculum for these children?- Mr Steve Hyacinth
