Dominica Island Blog: Sharing Every Dominican Moment with the World

Ramblings From The Nature Paradise of Dominica

Let’s Dance - One of the headline stories on last week Chronicle Newspaper, after the PM Roosevelt Skerrit together with the Vielle Case Cultural Group danced Quadrille (Quadrille is a European dance with African influences) for a little over twenty minutes at the 2007 Independence National Cultural Gala in the new Windsor Park Stadium on Sunday.

Sometimes I believe PM Skerrit is in the wrong line of work. He should retire from politics, and should enter a field related to Marketing or advertising. Why do I say that? Despite all the other good leadership virtues Skerrit has, one thing he knows how to do is to win the hearts of people, especially Dominicans. Maybe the opposition leader should take a few pointers from the PM  …Oh no, did I say that out loud :!:

Oh yes, Chris!

The picture on the front page of the Chronicle of the PM dancing was just gorgeous. It certainly captured the beauty and grace in the Dominican heritage!

I think politicians everywhere could learn from Mr. Skerrit. I know I respond more to a charming appeal than a rant.
