Dominica Island Blog: Sharing Every Dominican Moment with the World

Ramblings From The Nature Paradise of Dominica

I felt proud to be a Dominican, when I learnt that Dominica is ranked 35th in health care by the World Health organization. Doesn’t feel good to be a Dominican? When the worlds wealthiest country, the U.S, ranks behind our small island. We must be doing something right. The United States spends the most money on healthcare than any other country, but with all these dollars spent on health care, would only buy the U.S 37th place worldwide.

Top Ten Health Care Countries by the W.H.O
1 France 2 Italy 3 San Marino 4 Andorra 5 Malta 6 Singapore 7 Spain 8 Oman 9 Austria 10 Japan

Dominica is ranked closely with countries like Canada who is ranked 30, Finland 31, Australia32, Chile 33, Denmark 34 and Dominica at 35. Guess who ranked at 40 just behind the U.S? Cuba…

Has WHO come out with a new ranking, or is this the 2000 list?

This is the 2000 W.H.O List. I went to the W.H.O website to see if there is a new ranking list, but doesn’t appear so.

Do you have a link to the entire WHO list of countries?
That would be helpful.
