2007 Digicel Rising Star Competition Winner Tarina Simon is yet to be rewarded
According to Angelo Allen’s weekly headlines on Sunday revealed that Digicel’s Rising Star, Tarina Simon, is having complications in obtaining the promised recording contract.
After singing her way through the hearts of the judges and the many fans and supporters, Ms. Simon expected to receive what was promised but actually she still lives in hope of that dream.
The Sun Newspaper is also reporting that Tarina’s Manager and mother of the rising star; Ms. Jennifer Baron stated that Tarina only received the US$10,000 and the Sony Ericsson cell phone which turned out to be faulty.
Mr. Anthony John, who is the Manager of Digicel Dominica, confirms the absence of a legal document stating that the winner obtained a recording contract. This therefore created a problem. There was no written document stating the official prize.
