Anguilla Chief Minister Osbourne Fleming Says Dominica did not Give Anguilla any Money

Q95News - Anguilla’s Chief Minister Hon. Osbourne Fleming, has denied claims of receiving money from the Government of Dominica to help with the Anguillan economy. An announcement by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stated that Anguilla was the beneficiary of a large cash injection of $12 million from Dominica.

Chief Minister Fleming says neither he nor his Finance Minister or the permanent secretary in the ministry of Finance has signed any loan agreement with the Government of Dominica. The Anguillan Chief Minister is expressing displeasure at this allegation made by the Dominican Prime Minister. Fleming says the only loan agreement signed by Anguilla was with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
