Apple to ditch Macworld gathering

In an announcement that has shocked the tech industry, Apple Inc. has announced that next month’s Macworld conference will be the company’s last. Also causing a shockwave is the announcement that Steve Jobs will not be giving the keynote address.

Spokesperson Steve Dowling said only that, “Apple is steadily scaling back on trade shows and in recent years is reaching more people in more ways than ever before.” There are fears for Steve Jobs’ health after he was seen recently looking gaunt.

Jobs is a cancer survivor.
