Reports reaching DNO indicate that the police are investigating an stabbing incident at the Pierre Charles Secondary School in Grand Bay. Reports are a male student is alleged to have stabbed a security officer with a knife. The security officer is now at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) receiving treatment. The extent of the injury is still unknown

According to reports Charles and Jill Oldham were robbed and beaten on the head and face with a gun by two masked men. The terrified couple had to be escorted out of the area by the police. One young man is assisting the police with investigations into a stabbing incident that occurred during a sporting activity in a northern community. On Tuesday afternoon, at about 1:30pm, students of the North East Comprehensive School (NECS) were on the Londonderry Playing Field, engaged in sporting activities, when a fracas developed between two students. The scuffle resulted in one student being stabbed on the head, left arm and left arm pit.
Police are seeking a 16-year-old student of North East Comprehensive School (NECS) for allegedly wounding his school-mate earlier Tuesday. “The students were involved in a ‘fracas’ at the school, which resulted in the hospitalization of one of the students with injuries to his head, left arm and left armpit,†Superintendent in charge of the north Duke Severin, reported. Severin said violence at schools must not be accepted. “It’s one of the things that we really frown upon and we are to try our best to see how it can be curbed,†he said
Three men, two from Grandbay and one from Newtown who were reported missing at sea, are being investigated by customs. Police Chief Cyril Carette says the men were found with 10,000 Euros in their possession. The men were reported missing last week. Reports have now emerged that they were rescued by a passing tanker at sea and taken to Martinique where they were located by Dominican authorities
