DEVELOPING STORY: Murders at sea

Confirmation is that Curtis ‘Shakes’ Richards of Newtown was taken into custody Friday night after a thorough police search of his property. Special Service Unit officers surrounded the premises of Richards on the said night. On November 2 Police in Dominica recovered the bloodied bodies of three men at about 26miles off the Salisbury coast belonging to Richards.

Deputy Police Chief Cyril Carrette told the press that Richards had reported his boat ‘stolen’. The boat was spotted with the help of an aircraft from the Regional Security System after rumors spread about shootings at sea. As revealed; the names of the men who were killed aged between 25 and 35 are Allan Bardouille of Newtown, Kenneth Birmingham of Kings Hill and Mannison Thomas of Fond St. Jean.

According to Carrette, police were in search of two other men whom they say were also in the boat with the three dead men. One of those men gave himself up to police on the weekend.
