The Dominica Bar Association has issued an official report on the subject surrounding allegations of abuse of clients’ monies by Attorney at Law and Former Opposition Leader Earl Williams.
The Latest accusation was made by Desiree John- who was hurt in a vehicular accident last August. She said that Mr. Williams received four payments on her behalf for compensation amounting to a quarter million dollars. Mrs. John said the last payment was made in June of Last year but she has only received one cheque of almost 35thousand dollars, a cheque which was returned by the bank twice when she tried to cash it because of inadequate funds.
The Bar Association is extremely concerned about these allegations which have surfaced about Mr. Williams. In the dissemination of their release- it is stated that lawyers are required to keep clients funds separate and apart from their own and are not to misuse clients funds in any way whatsoever.
