Dominica recognizes 32 years as an Independent Nation since gaining sovereignty from Great Britain

Government officials are reporting evidence of development for Dominica as a sovereign nation. The country is celebrating 32 years since it achieved independence from Great Britain. Community Development Minister Gloria Shillingford told the media launch of this year’s Independence Celebrations that Dominica is now fully capable of managing its own affairs. She says it has sailed through several bad weathers and has still come back on steady feet.

Meantime, Culture Minister Justina Charles says Government has taken many decisions in terms of the economy and has held many discussions to unveil the preferred directions for the advancement of the nation.
