Q95News - Today marks World Health Day which has been celebrated annually on April 7 since 1950, as recommended by the World Health Organization. This provides the opportunity for a global focus on public health issues which are said to be affecting all strata of society. Every year an appropriate theme is selected to highlight a priority area in health; and this year the focus is on urbanization and health. Health Minister Hon. Julius Timothy provided some information as to importance of this commemoration. Q95 was pleased to bring you the full text of the Health Minister’s speech earlier on this morning, in recognition of World Health Day 2010.
