The National E-Business Incubator NEBI has been set up to help young entrepreneurs start and grow their own business in an environment which will assure success. NEBI will seek to transform inventive ideas, start ups and pledging businesses into sustainable enterprises which will be equipped to compete internationally.
Facilitating Dominica in the implementation process is the University of Technology in Jamaica. Present was President of the University of Technology in Jamaica Errol Morrison. The University of Technology views the establishment of the Business Incubator in Dominica as an important response to the process of moving away from a dominant agricultural economy. Rosalie Hamilton is Vice President of the Development U-tech of Jamaica. Meantime, Director of Telecoms Sylvester Cadette says the use of ICT Technology in businesses today is critical. He says knowledge gained in information, communication and technology can be applied and in fact is being applied in the creation, growth and development of businesses.
