The National E-Business Incubator Inc presented a panel discussion ‘creating the framework for success of SMEs in Dominica’ prior to the official launching ceremony. This discussion aimed at transforming innovative ideas, and enhancing the productivity of small businesses into sustainable enterprises, equipped to compete effectively in the global market place.
This panel discussion featured addresses from his Excellency Ambassador Charles Maynard, Mr. Colin Bully, Mr. Atherton Martin, Mr. Melbour Phillip, Dr. Valda Henry and Mrs. Mathilda John-Rose. Manager of NeBI, Mr. Gerard Burnett stated some of the goals of NeBI which include: increasing the employment capacity of Dominica, to develop and foster an entrepreneurial climate and to enable and enhance the use of ICT in client firms and organisation.
Mr. Burnette further stated the expected outcome of NeBi in Dominica of which improving the success-rate of start-ups and fledgling firms is one.
