Opposition Leader Expresses Concern Over Growing Crime Rate

Leader of the Opposition and leader of the united workers party, Hon. Ron Green, expresses deep concern over the rise in crime among youth in Dominica. Green says there has been an increase in the number of road fatalities.

The United Workers Party therefore, has proposed a policy which they believe if implemented or enforced, could reduce the number of road fatalities in Dominica. This policy recommends the implementation of the seatbelt policy, helmets for all motorists and also the execution of a task force to handle the increasing crime situation in Dominica.

The United Workers Party’s Deputy Leader Claudius Sanford is still feeling effects from his unexpected attack last weekend. Sanford said the incident occurred following an event in Salybia – he describes the situation as threatening.
