Prime Minister Skerrit Denies Corruption

Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, has rejected claims of financial wrongdoing in what has become known locally as the ‘garbage bin scandal‘. Opposition groups had questioned what they said was the high cost of importing 27 hundred trash cans for residents of the capital Roseau. The total bill, confirmed by the Prime Minister, was US$275,000 from an American firm.

That works out to roughly $102 dollars per bin; when opponents say the usual cost is $15. Mr Skerrit did not address the price directly in a speech to the nation but denied that there was anything under hand in the transaction. Opposition leaders have said they are not satisfied with the explanation given by the Prime Minister.

I follow with interest and a bit of amusement the developments surrounding this story. A response from the PM does more to confirm that the truths of the story than the mistruths. this is because over the years I have noted that the PM only speaks out when there is merit to the original story than when the story has no basis.

GIVE THE PM A BREAK!! You know how the saying goes ” HE WHO HAS NO FAULTS OF HIS OWN,LET HIM CAST THE FIRST STONE.
MANY FIND FAULTS BUT FEW CAN DO BETTER!!!
