Requests for the Delay of the Opening of the St. Joseph Fire Station - Turned Down by Government

Minister for National Security Hon Charles Savarin says there have been some concerns expressed from within the fire service that the St Joseph fire station should not be opened until the 11 new fire officers have been recruited and trained. However; the minister says that that request has been turned down by Government. He says they think to do otherwise would impose additional burden on an already stretched fire service.
