Internet Explorer users have been advised to use another web browser as Microsoft scrambled to issue a patch for a vulnerability in their web browser. Hackers have been hitting the exploit for a week already.
A firm who issued the flaw in a security advisory stated – “Microsoft is continuing its investigation of public reports of attacks against a new vulnerability in Internet Explorer”.
Microsoft has admitted seeing attacks in IE7 but warned other versions are vulnerable. The Web browsers’ flaw can allow a remote attacker to take control of a users computer and steal their passwords.
