Laudrick Bruno in trouble with the law

Bruno during a court appearance in August 2010 for the robbery of the NDFD in Roseau Laudrick Bruno, who is on bail for the alleged robbery of the National Development Foundation of Dominica (NDFD) and who was on a two-year suspended jail term for a burglary in Roseau, was fined fined $8,000 for illegal possession of a firearm. He appeared in court and pleaded guilty on Friday to the charge. Of that sum he is to pay $3,000 by June 30 or spend ten months in prison. $5,000 is to be paid by November 30 or by default serve 15 months behind bars

Reunion time

The triad community of Bense, Anse D Mai and Ans Solda is counting down to their reunion event now just a month and a few weeks away. Organisers say they are preparing this weekend to launch the Fete component to the two week long community Reunite effort. According to officials of the Commitee for the Improvement of the Triad Communities, the weekend activity will set the tone for the event. They are promising northern nationals a “preview” that’ll engage them in more than “24 hours of nonstop entertainment”
