Brooks The Dominica Nurses Association (DNA) has once again awarded one of its members for her sterling contribution to nursing and nursing education in Dominica. The recipient is Agnes Brooks, a retired Nurse Educator who served from 1970 to 1997 at the then Princess Margaret School of Nursing (now Faculty of Health Sciences, Dominica State College). Brooks also served as Principal Tutor of that institution for the latter 15 years of the said period. During her tenure Brooks kept abreast with the many changes which were taking place in nursing education in order to offer and deliver training programs that would produce a highly qualified and disciplined cadre of nurses, who would best meet the health needs of the ever changing society.

I read your article of the 13-year-old with a boyfriend and I also gave my views, but now I do have a mother at work telling me her 13-year-old has a boyfriend. How can a mother/parent tell her 12/13-year-old to have boyfriend? I too have 12-year-old and there is no way I am going to allow her to have a boyfriend or a serious relationship when she has to study her school book for exams. What is going on in this world?
