Teachers Appreciation Day

Teachers from around the island gathered in Portsmouth Friday for the Annual Observance of Teachers day. The observance was held under the theme ‘Teachers Matter’. Portsmouth MP Ian Douglas told teachers present that contributions made to the country is deeply appreciated and encouraged young persons to enter the teaching field to serve in making a difference and stimulating the minds of students. Virginia Peter- Keynote Speaker delivered an important message to the teachers, reminding them that teaching is a connection. Retired Teachers were recognized on Saturday evening.
