UWP makes 20 Historic Pledges to the Dominican Electorate at a Massive St. Joseph Rally

At a massive Political Rally in St. Joseph last night, the United Workers Party and its candidates pledged their commitment for Dominica in 20 pledges delivered by their candidates. Leader of the United Workers Party Honourable Ron Green says the UWP will deliver on those pledges to the Dominican people in 2 years if elected into office.

According to UWP Leader Hon. Ron Green, these pledges are what will be the driving forces in moving Dominica forward. The pledges include a zero tolerance approach to corruption of any kind. Green says it is imperative that Dominica is wiped free of all corruption and the UWP stands ready to implement the necessary measures to ensure that this is maintained. The pledges were read by 17 endorsed candidates for the UWP in various constituencies.

Other pledges of the United Workers Party include Insurance for nurses, free text books for all schools in Dominica, commencement on the construction of an international airport within 18 months, pay increases for teachers, duty free building materials for housing construction, a clear and positive Diaspora policy and reduction of fuel prices for Dominican fishermen, through the use of geothermal wind and solar energy.
