President of the UWP, Honourable Edison James says the current government should take better care of Dominican nationals overseas and especially when they are in difficulties. Mr. James was speaking in relation to the Dominican citizens stranded in Venezuela along with their vessel.
James stated that after consulting with these persons, he was made aware that approximately US $30, 000 was needed to get them out of the South American country. James therefore calls on Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to issue an official statement as to the government’s stand on the matter.
