Ramblings From The Nature Paradise of Dominica

Photo of the Paul Green's Building - Architecture of Dominica

Location: Corner of Kennedy Avenue and Hanover Street, Roseau

Paul Green’s Building is an interesting combination of local cut volcanic stone on the ground floor and importerd clay brick for the upper story. As elsewere in the Caribbean, these bricks were brought out from Europe as ballast in the hold of sailing ships. This combination of materials dates the building to the late 18th century.
