Military guards from Venezuela will walk about the island and in the ocean. And they will dictate its terms. Because it is their factory, their oil. It is a way of struggle for independence by Chavez. Hard for a small but proud island, is not it? well, well…

And the US has always meddled in Central and South American affairs, much to the detriment of the victimized people and nations of its southern neighbors. Two wrongs don't make a right. Dominicans should look to Dominican interests first, and play the opposing sides off against one another to Dominica's benefit. This goes both for the US-Chavez and the People's Republic of China and Taiwan. At the end of the day, none of them really care about Dominica. If US product packaging is littered about is the US to blame? It is up to Dominicans not to litter! And the odds are against Dominica. The culture must change. Dominica has neither the infrastructure nor the financial resources to provide effective waste removal and treatment services. Dominica lacks the economic clout to demand that import goods are environmentally friendly in both product and packaging. Is the littering China’s fault?
