Room Shortage for the WCMF

Accommodation in Dominica is posing a serious challenge for organizers of the tenth annual World Creole Music Festival (WCMF).Val Cuffy, Executive Director of the Dominica Festivals Commission (DFC) said last week that there are people who are already having problems finding housing during the staging of the three-night event, carded for October.

â€œEveryday we come here; we try to get another room. We try to see how best we can get the hotels to facilitate but all the hotels seem to already be booked and they are just trying to make do with what we can afford,ï¿½? Cuffy said.

Cuffy has asked locals to open their homes to assist in the shortage.
