Yup! We got ourselves yet another Dining out review. Not to long ago we reviewed the Silk Luxury Boutique Hotel formerly Habitation Chaubert. This time is Blue Bay Restaurant turn to be reviewed.

The Blue Bay Restaurant is located on the beach in the Lagoon suburb of Portsmouth. My friend Dan and his beautiful wife Ruth have chosen it on three occasions as the place to dine out to celebrate a wedding anniversary. It is always a distinct pleasure to watch the sun set over the Cabrits where Fort Shirley perches as it guards Prince Rupert Bay.

The Blue Bay serves food that matches its setting in taste. Every meal at the Blue Bay begins with the establishment’s complimentary fritters, at treat that sets the diner up for delicious tastes to follow. The menu at Blue Bay is quite wide-ranging and comprehensive, because the restaurant is able to cater to both the landlubber clientele from the Portsmouth area and numerous yachters anchored in the bay who have learned to congregate at the bar and restaurant as soon as the sun dips below the yardarm.

Prices at the Blue Bay are a bit on the moderately high side, but the meals served are worth their price. From ashore, look for the Blue Bay’s sign on the left as you proceed from Portsmouth through Lagoon towards the Cabrits. You’ll proceed down a path towards the beach to reach the restaurant. If you’re anchored out in the bay, just follow the parade of dinghies to the Blue Bay’s dock around dinnertime.
