Cops Charged With Murder
Police officers are outraged that two of the colleagues have been charged for the murder of a Carib Territory resident and have resorted to protest action this week, forcing the operations at the law enforcement headquarters to a near standstill.
Times Newspaper in Hot Water Again
Matthias Peltier Jr. and his company, The Times Newspaper, along with Chinese businessman, Felix Chen Sheng-Tien, have found themselves facing a possible libel charge (…allegations made in a October 17 Times story - $20 Million Mystery) being filed by King and Wood Lawyers of behalf of Dominica’s Ambassador to China, David Hsiu. Regarding Felix Chen, the businessman has been demanded to:
“…within 15 days of the day hereof, to publish on the front page of The Times and one other reputable newspapers in Dominica your apology statement to indemnify our client for all his costs and expenses in connection with this matter and to undertake not to make further allegations to the same or similar effect.
