Purely Dominica

Archive for February, 2007

February was a break-out month for Dominica Weekly dot com. Thanks to the Carnival season the seemingly impossible task of reaching 10,000 page views pulled off in on month. I managed to expose the blog to a large number of new visitors. And it seems quite a few has decided to bookmarked the blog, subscribe to the RSS or became a daily visitors.

Dominica Weekly Traffic Graph

It is very hard to watch the above traffic graph, but before the carnival Monday and Tuesday, the blog was growing steadily. I did 7000 page views in January and made an incredible leap to 10,100 pages view in February.

The trick for me now is to retain all the new visitors. It is going to be impossible to keep everyone who visited but I am hoping the new visitor got a chance to browse the blog a bit and found the articles information useful. I’m going to try my best to upload great content, which readers can find useful.

I want to thank everyone who made a comment or send an email in the past month. The positive response to Dominica Weekly has been overwhelming. Thanks

I guess it’s time again to share another home recipe; usually Thursday is the day set aside to try-out new recipes, but after all the reveling from Carnival Monday and Tuesday I was still feeling the affects 😆 Last time the boiled Fish Coubouillon came out better than I expected, today its Luida (my-gurl) turn to try–out the new recipe. Hot Sandwiches with fried potatoes (Russian style).

Hot Sandwiches with Fried Potatoes

Usually I don’t like Russian cooking, maybe because their dishes have too much mayonnaise. But I must say that this recipe taste better than the way it looked. Go ahead try the recipe if you dare 😐 .….Bon appetite ❗
