Despite the weather conditions on Tuesday, with interment showers many Dominicans showed-up at the Botanical Garden to enjoy day two of the 5th Cable and wireless – Creole in the park. With performances like the Calypso Connection together with Swingin Stars on the line-up… no rain was going to stop the massive crowd from enjoying themselves. We wish we could have been there. But we will at least be in beautiful Dominica in under seven weeks from now, for a 4-week stay, our last temporary visit before we come there to retire and live in wonderful Dominica. You can bet we will try to get to all the music events we can! But in the meanwhile, it’s great to know that you all can enjoy that great calypso and have good times! 🙂
Hey… what do you think about that freak storm 😯 on Thursday just before Nasio Fontaine performed ❓ One thing I have to say is that Dominican’s are really rough and ready for anything… I was amazed at how many people braved that horrible weather to see our local superstar. As for the performance… Nasio was great, but Cable and Wireless needs to come better with the sound system. We cannot acheive International standards using “cheap” equipment. Next time, PLEASE… come better than that…try Club DVD. I felt very sorry for Nasio because he was obviously struggling on stage, not being able to hear himself, and the microphone feeding back etc… Cables, we love Creole in the Park, but its time for the sound system to improve. PLEASE ❗
Club dvd is the definitely the way to go for great sound…. as for Nasio Fontaine, it was unfortunate the rain storm came …..but thats god work too….. 🙂
