Defending Soca Monarch Chester Letang aka Daddy Chess came out with all guns blazing as he defended his crown with an explosive performance last night that had the massive crowd at the Carnival City in the palm of his hands, jumping, waving and dancing to his hit song “Ready or Not.”

Daddy Chess takes home $10,000, and a brand new Scooter worth $15,000.00, sponsored by RC Enterprises.

First runner-up went to Clint “Clinty” Henderson, with his song “We Jumping Up”; and second runner-up went to Wayne Benjamin aka Mr. Benji, with his song “Fire.”

The other soca contestants were: Joseph “Ja Foxx” Joseph; Anwar Cadette; Lloyd “Lloydie” Jno Baptiste; Eirdryntion “Mr. Mystic” James; Carllian “Falcon” James; Richard “Benno”; Wayne “Skinny” Robinson, and Kiem “DJ Midian” Pacquette.
