Purely Dominica

After a disappointing loss against Barbados in Dominica’s 20/20 second round cricket match; Dominica played to a 1-1 tie Wednesday night at the Windsor Park Stadium in their first leg of a 2010 world Cup qualifying match that will determine who will faces-off against the United States on June 15th in the second round.

In front huge supportive Dominican crowd, Richard Pacquette scored in the 20th minute for Dominica, until the 42nd minute of the match when Jeffrey Williams scored the tying goal for Barbados. The second leg is scheduled to be played on the 26th march in Barbados.

It felt so good to see the many Dominican’s who came out to support the Dominica national soccer team. 🙂

I did not know Richard Pacquette was Dominican.

After the Liverpool game he got so much press, but not once did I think he represented Dominica.

I think we will do better next game, less pressure, better pitch.

BTW. Why was the stadium used for Carnival shows when there was such an important match to be played so soon after. It just shows how high sports is regarded by the authorities.
