The Discover Dominica Authority has teamed up with Matador Network, the world’s largest independent travel magazine to launch the Discover Dominica Photo Contest.
Just share an amazing photo of you exploring the outdoors, and YOU could win a paid trip for TWO to Dominica. Winners will be chosen at the end of October. The trip includes airfare from the US or Canada and 5 days/4 nights at one of Dominica’s premier hotels.
For those who don’t know, Dominica is often referred to as the “Nature Isle of the Caribbeanâ€, for its unspoiled natural beauty, its outdoor adventurer’s paradise, featuring national parks, dense rainforests, hidden lakes and waterfalls and many exotic plant and animal species.
Here’s how you can enter contest
All you have to do to enter this contest is upload a photo that shows you exploring mother nature. It could be in a distant land or in your own back yard.
Use the Dominica Entry Form, upload the photo of yourself and give us a little caption and we’ll publish the best entries in a photo essay and pick a winner by the end of October 2009.
The only downside to the contest, is that it’s only open to residents of the United States and Canada.
Because Dominica island is all about adventure and defying the popular notion of a Caribbean holiday, the organizers would prefer the person who wins to enjoy every bit of this natural goodness by exploring every inch of the island – an individual (or couple) who loves outdoor adventure.
