Purely Dominica

As we get closer to summer, more and more people; especially kids are looking for summer jobs. Here are key things you should keep in mind before doing the job search.

Have a clear sense of what your personal values are, what are your future intensions and ask yourself “what do you bring to the company you are interviewing. These are important things you should keep in mind.

Resume Redesign is an interesting blog that have lots of useful information on improvements to resumes and cover letters. Some interesting highlights, not so much “Job Secrets? but things most people should know:

  1. Conduct a self-assessment before you begin your job search. This will help job seekers define the kind of job they find fulfilling.
  2. Develop a personal mission statement. A mission statement should address your core values and beliefs. It also reflects what is important to you to achieve your career goals.
  3. Create a five-year plan. This kind of plan provides a road map for all the things you want to achieve, and it helps you to maintain your focus on your career.
  4. Define long and short-term goals. These targets are important for forming a plan of action. Include personal and professional goals on your list.

I believe these four “secrets? will set a strong foundation before starting your job search. So when you’re asked a question like “why you want to work for this business/organization? Or what value do you bring to the business/organization? You will be ready ….. Trust me ❗

I am an experienced teacher for children from age 3 to 11 years, also I am Montessori-teacher and principal of an elementary school. I would like to work on Dominica. I speak German, English and some Spanish.
I `d appreciate to work with native indians.
