Dominica’s new Waitukubuli National Trail tops the Lonely Planet list for “world’s best long walks.” Lonely Planet is the world’s largest travel guide book and digital media publisher.
Lonely Planet describes Dominica and the trail as a place, “where nature still rules and you’re more likely to pass parrots than people.” Dominica was the only Caribbean location to make the prestigious list.
The Waitukubuli National Trail is 115 miles long and is divided into 14 contiguous segments that range from easy to moderate to difficult.
Dominica is the only Caribbean destination with a walking trail that extends the length of the island.
